Gail Platt to suffer dramatic heart attack on Coronation Street

OHMYGOSSIP — Gail Platt is set to suffer a dramatic heart attack on ‘Coronation Street’.
The iconic character, played by Helen Worth, will suffer a serious health scare amid family tensions next week.
Gail becomes embroiled in a dispute between her son Nick Tilsley and his ex-partner Natasha Blakeman, as she refuses to allow Nick to see Sam.
The situation becomes more complicated when David Platt, Nick’s brother, discovers that Gail will be looking after Sam the following day.
David then hatches a plan to help his brother – but Gail is left angered when she learns that David wants her to allow Nick to see Sam.
Gail insists she needs to respect Natasha, rather than plotting behind her back.
And tensions in the family reach a crescendo when Nick reveals he plans to sell his shares in the factory, as he wants to spend more time with Leanne Battersby.
As her stress levels increase, Gail decides to head outside to get some fresh air and she subsequently suffers a heart attack on the cobbles.
She later accuses her children of causing her health problems with their constant bickering.
Meanwhile, Alexandra Mardell previously admitted to being “starstruck” when she first met Helen, 70.
The actress – who stars as Emma Brooker in ‘Coronation Street’ – revealed that Helen helped to ease her nerves when she first appeared on the ITV soap in 2018.
Alexandra said: “You know them as their character names. I thought, ‘Please don’t call Sue Nicholls, Audrey’. I was there on Google trying to make sure I’d got everyone’s name.
“Helen Worth told me to take my time and that if I said something wrong, it didn’t matter. That was really lovely. She’s a ‘Corrie’ icon and I was starstruck.”
