Victoria Beckham wants husband and son to work in her store
OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham has revealed she’d like her husband and son to help her out in her new store, which is set to open in London later this month.
The fashion designer is preparing to open her first store on London’s Dover Street later this month and she’s revealed she’d like it to be a family affair with husband David and son Brooklyn, 15 – who sat on the front row during her show at New York Fashion Week yesterday (07.09.14) – helping out in their spare time.
Quizzed on whether she’d be manning the shop floor, she told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “Oh absolutely. I’ve got great staff working at the shop and I love retail. Maybe working behind the till – who knows? David can be on the door and Brooklyn will be a Saturday boy.”
The 40-year-old former Spice Girls singer – who also has sons Romeo, 12, and Cruz, nine, and three-year-old daughter Harper with David, 39 – unveiled her first attempt at designing her own shoes during her Spring/Summer 2015 show, having previously worked with Manolo Blahnik.
Victoria explained that she made her own unique flats as she wanted to have total control over the silhouettes of the models showing off her new designs, but added that she’ll “be wearing them too, in every colour.”
Meanwhile, the collection – which Victoria herself described as an “eclectic uniform” – appeared to be inspired by military clothing and featured two full uniforms, one in white and the other in burgundy, along with tunics teamed with pleated wool trousers.
One of the most eye-catching outfits to appear on the catwalk was a black, white and taupe striped all-in-one Japanese bouclé, described by some as a “onesie”.
However, Victoria disagreed with the title, saying: “It’s a jumpsuit! I wanted this collection to be minimal and graphic but fun – and this is very cool I think.”
