Britain’s Princess Michael of Kent has been banned from giving interviews
OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Michael of Kent has reportedly been banned from giving interviews during the promotional tour of her new book, as the Royal Family are worried she will embarrass them.
The 61-year-old Royal – who is married to Queen Elizabeth’s cousin Prince Michael – is reported to have been banned by the Royal Family from doing any interviews to promote her new book ‘The Queen of Four Kingdoms Volume II’, over fears she will embarrass them.
The interior designer and author – who has been dubbed “Princess Pushy” – has made a number of controversial comments while promoting her books in the past, including branding older royals “boring” and the late Princess Diana as “uneducated”.
An insider told the Daily Express newspaper: “The second volume of her book is due out in the autumn but the powers that be at Buckingham Palace do not want a repeat performance so she is not allowed to do any interviews.
“The comments about older royals being boring and Princess Diana being uneducated were deemed to be the last straw.”
While promoting the first instalment of her series of books on European Royalty, ‘The Queen of Four Kingdoms Volume I’ in January, the Princess made the comments during an interview with disgraced media tycoon Conrad Black.
Speaking of elderly royals, she said at the time: “I think the older generation are a bit boring for most people.”
When asked about Princess Diana – who died in a car crash in 1997 – she added: “She did not have a mother to bring her up and she did not have much education, so it is much harder to cope with eulogy.”
