Courtney Love wants to give up her music career and act
OHMYGOSSIP — Courtney Love wants to give up her music career and do “a lot more acting” instead. The 49-year-old rock star, who had some critically acclaimed roles in ‘Man on the Moon’ and ‘The People vs Larry Flynt’, is eager to make more movies but admits it’s hard to get parts because she is notorious for her wild past.
In an interview with Q magazine, she explained: “I should do a movie as often as possible. I never had any behaviour problems on a film shoot. Never been late, never not gotten along with another actor, even if I did like them. I like going to work.
“Rock ‘n’ roll is great and I’m good at it, and I like myself onstage better than I like myself in real life and all that stuff. But I really, really like acting. As I get older, acting is something I want to do a lot more of.”
Courtney has many Hollywood pals including ‘Star Wars’ actress Carrie Fisher, with whom she once sent her daughter Frances Bean Cobain on holiday with to France.
She said: “I sent her to Paris with my neighbour Carrie Fisher and her great friend Marianne Faithfull. I got a bill from the Ritz in Paris for $14,000. I’m like, ‘What the f**k costs that much?’ Two bottles of Petrus [wine]. If you’re going to get drunk for the first time, do it on Petrus at the Ritz in Paris with Marianne Faithfull.”
