EastEnders’ Diane Parish on Lucy Beale’s killer: It could be Denise Fox
OHMYGOSSIP — EastEnders star Diane Parish has offered her take on the soap’s ongoing Lucy Beale mystery, admitting that she is suspicious of her character Denise Fox. Lucy was killed by an unknown culprit on Good Friday after she wandered off alone. As the fiancée of Lucy’s father Ian, Denise has a close link to the Beales and has played a big role in the aftermath of the tragedy.
Asked whether Denise is the killer, Parish told ITV’s Loose Women: “I don’t know, you know. There are times when I see things in the scripts and I think, ‘It could be me’. None of us know.”
Discussing claims that 15 endings will be filmed to the storyline, the actress continued: “I think that might be a little bit of an exaggeration. I think that might be a shaggy dog!
“But none of us know anything – truly. I know it’s the spin that people usually do, but we really genuinely don’t know a single thing.
“We get scripts sometimes and if there’s stuff that we’re not involved in – that’s only to do with those actors – then that will be asterisked out and only the people involved know. We’ve got big mouths, so we’re not allowed to know!”
EastEnders fans will see the storyline continue in tonight’s episode (May 9) as Lauren Branning becomes convinced that her former lover Jake Stone was Lucy’s killer.
