Lindsay Lohan: Miscarriage made me ignore fashion lawsuit

OHMYGOSSIP — Actress Lindsay Lohan has cited her recent miscarriage as the reason for not responding to an ongoing lawsuit with her former fashion line partners.

Lohan filed a $1.1 million lawsuit against executives at D.N.A.M. Apparel Industries, accusing the company of cheating her out of profits in a 2009 business deal.

Lohan was hit with a countersuit from the company, which claimed the actress had been in breach of contract. The suit also stated that her “drug-addled image” made it difficult to sell Lohan’s 6126 collection.

A default judgement was made against Lohan in December, after she did not respond to the D.N.A.M. countersuit.

The New York Daily News reports that on Thursday (May 1), Lohan apologised to a Los Angeles judge for failing to respond to the suit, citing her miscarriage and rehab stay as distractions.

She said: “I apologise to the court in the delay in seeking relief but I have been overwhelmed since leaving rehab and dealing with my sobriety and a miscarriage.”

Lohan revealed that she’d gone through a miscarriage in the finale episode of her OWN docu-series, Lindsay.
