Katie Holmes doesn’t regret ending fashion line
OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Holmes ended her fashion line to concentrate on acting motherhood and doesn’t regret the decision. The actress recently called time on Holmes & Yang, the line she started with close friend and stylist Jeanne Yang in 2009, because she is too busy looking after her seven-year-old daughter Suri, who she has with ex-husband Tom Cruise, but doesn’t regret her decision.
Talking to ELLE magazine, she said: “I loved every minute of my time working on Holmes & Yang. I remain passionate about the design aesthetic we created, and am so happy with what Jeanne and I accomplished.”
The 35-year-old star felt she’d taken too much on and needed to get the balance in her life right.
She continued: “However I am now concentrating on acting and motherhood, which did not leave the label the time and attention it deserved.”
Katie’s line appears in ELLE UK in a fashion spread and the brunette beauty was happy with the result.
She said: “I’m really thrilled that the final showcase for Holmes & Yang is in ELLE – I had a blast at my shoot for the magazine,” adding, “It is fantastic to feel like it’s ending on a high.”
Katie has plenty of acting jobs coming up and is set to play a Manhattan socialite in a new ABC pilot about high society from the writer of ‘Behind the Candelabra’.
