Nicole Richie’s little sister Sofia lands swimsuit modeling gig

OHMYGOSSIP — The 15 year-old will model bikinis… Nicole Richie’s little sister, Sofia, is making a name for herself in the world of fashion. The 15 year-old, who is the daughter of Nicole’s father, Lionel Richie, and his ex-wife Diane Alexander, has landed her first fashion industry gig, modeling bikinis for Mary Grace Swim.

In one shot, the leggy teen stretches out while modeling a two-piece suit. In another, Sofia stands on a cliff and flashes a peace sign at the camera. Sofia made her official modeling debut in the November 2012 issue of Teen Vogue, where she was featured wearing clothing from her big sister’s Winter Kate line.

In addition to modeling, Sofia has said that she’d also like to break into the music industry like her famous father. “I’m always in the studio with my dad,” she told the magazine. “I’ve written a few songs. I’ll start off writing rhymes, then freestyles, then I add in beats.”

Nicole’s husband, Joel Madden, is apparently eager to help Sofia pursue her musical aspirations. “He takes me to the studio for voice lessons, and we write together,” Sofia said. “He’s really cool. He’s one of my best friends.”

Sofia also counts Paris Jackson, as well as the youngest Jenner sister, Kylie and Kendall as friends. Still, she has said that her sister Nicole is her fashion idol.

“Nicole is definitely my style icon, and she’s the best person to go shopping with,” Sofia said.
