Jennifer Lawrence almost turned down Hunger Games
OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lawrence admits she was unsure about joining the cast of the Hunger Games franchise. Despite the first movie making $680 million at the box office, Lawrence — who plays Katniss Everdeen in the series — admits she was skeptical about getting involved.
“I was happy with my life and I just didn’t know if I wanted it to change,” she explains.
“I’ve always had this imaginary future in mind where I would be a soccer mom that drove a minivan and my kids were normal and I had the same family that I grew up with. That just didn’t fit with taking on a giant franchise.”
Jennifer — who won the prestigious Best Actress Academy Award earlier this year for her role as Tiffany Maxwell in Silver Linings Playbook — recently revealed she has misplaced her Oscar.
“I don’t know where it is. I think it might be in Kentucky. I hope it’s in Kentucky. If not, it’s gone. I don’t have it,” she said.
