Duchess Catherine books hairdresser for Australia tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Duchess Catherine has booked Joh Bailey for her Australia tour next year – the same man who styled Princess Diana’s hair when she was in the country in 1996.

Duchess Catherine has booked her hairdresser for her Australia tour next year. The 31-year-old royal – who was known as Kate Middleton before she married Prince William – wants to be styled by Joh Bailey, the same man who did Princess Diana’s hair when she visited the country in 1996.

The Duchess of Cambridge will be joined by Prince William and they are hopeful to take baby George with them, much like when the late Diana took nine-month-old William with her to the state in 1983.

The late Princess of Wales was extremely image conscious, choosing to read what the press wrote about her during her visits.

Joh told an Australian newspaper: “[Diana] was the most elegant and gracious lady you could have imagined. She had a ball in Sydney and loved everything about the city… she was a lot of fun. She would sit in the chair flicking through newspaper and magazine clippings, and read absolutely everything the tabloids wrote about her. She had a huge pile of them, throwing them onto the floor either in disgust or laughing…  she was very aware of her image.”
