Dancing on Ice stars ‘think the series is jinxed’

OHMYGOSSIP — The cast and crew of ‘Dancing on Ice’ fear the current series is jinxed.
The ITV show has been hit by numerous pullouts due to coronavirus cases and injuries, prompting speculation that the series may be cancelled altogether.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Everyone backstage is up-in-arms about all the accidents and drop-outs. It’s unprecedented.
“It feels like a curse. Like everything that could go wrong has gone wrong. Some people wonder if we’ll last until the end of the series.”
‘Dancing on Ice’ bosses recently announced a week-long pause for the show amid the spate of pullouts.
And Jayne Torvill – one of the stars of the show – has admitted to being saddened by what’s unfolded over recent weeks.
The ‘Dancing on Ice’ judge recently explained: “We were all sad because everyone has worked so hard trying to put the show on in the first place and every week there was something happening.
“On the positive side, all of our celebrities will have an extra week to work on their routines so I’m looking forward to seeing some great routines when they come back.”
However, Christopher Dean – Jayne’s former skating partner – doesn’t think this year’s injury issues have been any more disruptive than in previous years.
The Olympic gold medal-winning star said: “I don’t think it’s any more than normal, it’s just maybe been reported on a little bit more.
“Saying that, we have a great team looking after everyone and getting them back to fitness.”
Speaking about the injuries, Jayne added: “We have a saying, ‘If you’re not falling, you’re not trying.’
“But in that respect we don’t want people to push themselves too far that they get injured, so we say it with caution.”
