Tyra Banks is open to adoption
OHMYGOSSIP — Tyra Banks is interested in adopting a child and says she will do whatever it takes to have children. The 38-year-old supermodel has revealed she desperately wants to become a parent and is open to all options.
The ‘America’s Next Top Model’ star told ‘Access Hollywood Live’ on Tuesday (15.10.13): “I will have children, whether they come out of me or come to me. I’m open to [adopting]. I’m definitely open.”
She added: “I’ve been wanting to do that since before it was cool.
“Since I was 9 years old, I’d be like, ‘Mommy! I want a baby, but it don’t have to be my baby and I can take it from over there and I can raise the baby.’ She’s like, ‘That’s called adoption,’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, mommy, I want to do that.’ So, since I was 9.”
Tyra revealed that she is currently “dating” and isn’t in a serious relationship but has no desire to date anyone famous.
She said: “It’s just very private and they’re not famous. That’s why people don’t think I’m doing anything.”
Tyra recently sold a script based on her life to America’s ABC network. She will co-create and executive produce a show based on her experiences with her friend Kenya Barris Banks, who is a TV writer. The comedy will be called ‘Fivehead’, a tongue-in-cheek reference to Tyra’s large forehead.
