Joely Richardson joins Maggie
OHMYGOSSIP — Joely Richardson has joined ‘Maggie’ as Arnold Schwarzenegger’s wife and mother of Abigail Breslin’s alter-ego. The 48-year-old actress – who played “tricky” Anita Vanger in ‘Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ in 2011 – has landed the role of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s wife in the upcoming zombie thriller, where she’ll play the mother of Abigail Breslin’s alter-ego, according to The Wrap.
The storyline focuses around a middle-class family whose daughter (Breslin) struggles to come to terms with the changes in her physical and mental state after she is infected with a “walking dead” virus, which slowly turns her into a zombie.
Henry Hobson will direct the movie, while Schwarzenegger will produce alongside Pierre-Ange Le Pogam, Matt Baer, Trevor Kaufman, Colin Bates and Joey Tufaro.
Silver Reel and Lotus Entertainment have teamed up with Silverlining Media Group and Gold Star films to produce and finance ‘Maggie’, while Bill Johnson, Jim Seibel, Ara Keshishian, Hubert Gibbs, Claudia Bluemhuber and John Scott 3 are executive producing.
Filming for ‘Maggie’ has already kicked off in New Orleans, but the release date is not yet known.
