Amanda Bynes doing better
OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Bynes’ lawyer says the troubled starlet is “doing better”. The troubled actress has reportedly been staying at Malibu treatment facility The Canyon for the past three weeks after being temporarily discharged from the UCLA Medical Center, and those close to her are upbeat about her discovery.
Her lawyer Mary Shea told reporters: “She is doing well. She is doing better.”
Meanwhile, Amanda’s parents have released a statement through their own lawyer, Tamar Arminack, confirming that Amanda has left the treatment facility at UCLA for a new location, although they did not specifically name The Canyon.
Their statement read: “Currently, upon recommendation by the skilled healthcare professionals at UCLA Medical Center, Amanda is receiving treatment in a private facility outside of Los Angeles. Amanda is making great strides towards recovery. The entire Bynes family would like to ask that they be given some measure of privacy so they can focus on Amanda’s health and well-being. The Bynes family would also like to thank all of Amanda’s supporters and well-wishers for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time (sic).”
It was previously suggested the 27-year-old actress could have to remain in involuntary psychiatric hold until 2015 because of her troubling antics, which included abusing fellow stars on Twitter by branding them “ugly”, wearing a multitude of wigs, and throwing a bong out of the window when the police searched her New York City apartment.
