OHMYGOSSIP — Ellie Goulding is on course to spend a third week at number one on the UK singles chart. The singer’s latest hit ‘Burn’ remains atop the midweek chart update and is currently 4,500 copies ahead of her nearest rival, which is Avicii’s ‘Wake Me Up’ at number two.
‘Sonnentanz (Sun Don’t Shine)’ by Klangkarussell remains firm at number three, while Rizzle Kicks are this week’s highest new entry at four with ‘Lost Generation’.
Lana Del Rey and Cedric Gervais are at five with ‘Summertime Sadness’ and former Westlife star Shane Filan begins at seven with his solo debut ‘Everything To Me’.
The 1975 land at number 26 with the re-release of ‘Sex’, Bastille are up 14 places to 38 with ‘Things We Lost In The Fire’ and Olly Murs is currently at 39 with ‘Right Place Right Time’.
Over on the album chart, Avenged Sevenfold lead the list with their new record Hail To The King.
Naughty Boy is just behind at two with his debut album Hotel Cabana, while Ellie Goulding’s repackaged album Halcyon Days is at three.
Bob Dylan’s Another Self Portrait (1969-1971) starts at number four and Franz Ferdinand are at five with Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action.
Former number one album The Impossible Dream by Britain’s Got Talent finalists Richard and Adam slips to number six.
