Little Mix: Our next album will be mature

OHMYGOSSIP — Little Mix are putting a ”mature” spin on their next album. The ‘Change Your Life’ hitmakers – made up of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – have decided to pen more grown-up tracks for their second studio collection after their debut ‘DNA’ soared to the top three in the UK album chart last year.

Leigh-Anne told Capital FM: ”We’re just having so much fun aren’t we, in the studio. ”Writing, I think the main sound we want to go for is just a bit more mature for the next album.”

However, the quartet – who shot to fame after winning ‘The X Factor’ in 2011 – have promised that their new album will be a follow-up to their single ‘Wings’ – which sprung into number one last summer – because they are keen to keep the same catchy vibe that had everyone hooked.

Jessy explained: ”I can say, there’s a ‘Wings’ number two. But still keeping the same Little Mix sound!”

The girl band made £1.2 million in the financial year ending December 2012 and are set to rake in plenty more this year thanks to their album royalties and income from their ‘DNA’ tour.

A source said previously: ”Given the girls have almost no expenses — they are always working, they get most of their clothes free and things such as bottle service in nightclubs are gratis — a lot of the income into that business will be saved up.”
