Congratulations! Kate Middleton gives birth to royal baby boy, weighing 8lbs 6oz

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is a mommy! The British royal gave birth to a baby boy, Kensington Palace said.

The little bundle of joy was delivered at 4.24pm. The baby weighs 8lbs 6oz.

The child will become third in the line of succession, displacing Prince Harry to fourth and the Duke of York to fifth.

As a result of recent, long-anticipated changes in the law, the baby will also be made an HRH and given the title Prince of Cambridge.

Kate and William both returned to London from Anglesey last Friday.
