Nicola Adams and Katya Jones to Quickstep on Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicola Adams and Katya Jones will Quickstep on the first ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ live show.
The dancing duo – who will make history as the show’s first same-sex couple – will begin the competition by performing a highly anticipated routine to Ella Fitzgerald’s ‘Get Happy’ on Saturday (24.10.20).
Although they will escape the public vote until next weekend, their routine will be judged by Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse.
The professional dancers will open the show with an “explosive” Latin number before they pair off with their celebrity partners to perform their own routines.
Caroline Quentin will dance the American Smooth to Sheena Easton’s ‘9 to 5 (Morning Train)’, Clara Amfo will Cha Cha across the dancefloor to ‘Don’t Start Now’ by Dua Lipa, and Jacqui Smith will perform the Foxtrot to Monty Python’s ‘Always Look on the Bright Side of Life’.
Ranvir Singh will dance the Paso Doble to Beyonce’s ‘End of Time’ and fittingly, Maisie Smith will perform the Samba to Gloria Estefan’s ‘Samba’.
The boys will kick things off with Bill Bailey and Jamie Laign both performing the Cha Cha to ‘Pata Pata’ by Miriam Makeba and ‘Think About Things’ by Daði Freyr respectively.
Elsewhere, HRVY will perform the Jive to Stevie Wonder’s ‘Faith’, Jason Bell will dance the American Smooth to The Temptation hit ‘My Girl’, JJ Chalmers will Waltz to ‘What A Wonderful World’ by Louis Armstrong, and Max George will heat things up with James Bay’s ‘Best Fake Smile’ as he dances the Tango.
Meanwhile, Max was spotted wearing a support brace on his right hand just days before the live show after he reportedly injured his wrist at the gym.
An insider revealed: “Max sprained his wrist in the gym a few weeks ago, so it’s just there for support while he trains.”
