L’Wren Scott flattered by A-list clients
OHMYGOSSIP — L’Wren Scott is pleased her flattering and feminine designs appeal to such a broad range of famous women.
L’Wren Scott is flattered celebrities want to wear her clothes. The designer is surprised such a wide range of famous women, including Oprah Winfrey and Nicole Kidman, are fans of her creations and believes her clientele all share a strong sense of personal style and an understanding of how to dress for their shape.
She said: “I’m flattered so many different kinds of stars like my fashion aesthetic. I like super structured clothes which emphasise the female form, with a pinch of old school Victorian style.
“I don’t really like the idea of there being a typical L’Wren Scott woman. It would be too dull. The women I dress do all have something in common, however: they understand their bodies and already have a distinct personal style.”
On top of dressing other people, L’Wren also has an impressive wardrobe of her own, which she revealed is bursting with high end buys and sparkly cardigans.
Asked what her favourite pieces in her closet are by French newspaper supplement Madame Figaro, she replied: “My black ‘headmistress’ style dress and my little black Chanel jacket, which was altered by Karl [Lagerfeld] himself, who was kind enough to lengthen the sleeves to suit me.
“I’ve also got an unbridled passion for sequinned cardigans… Whenever I see one, I can’t help but buy it. When I open my closet, there are sparkles everywhere. I love it!”
