Christina Applegate thinks motherhood is fun
OHMYGOSSIP — Christina Applegate loves hanging out with her two-year-old daughter Sadie Grace because she is her ‘little best friend’ and doesn’t feel guilty about being a working mother.
Christina Applegate says her daughter is her “little best friend”. The ‘Anchorman’ star, who married her long-term boyfriend Martyn LeNoble in an extremely intimate ceremony in front of just six guests at their Los Angeles abode in February, loves hanging out with their two-year-old little girl Sadie Grace because she has a great sense of humour.
The 41-year-old actress told People.com: “Her language skills are incredible. Sadie and I talk about what she dreamt about, we talk about what we’re going to do that day, we talk about what we did the day before, and we talk extensively about these things.
“It’s really a fun part of her development. Now she’s my little person, she’s my little best friend.
“I’m watching what she finds funny now. If she sees something that she really thinks is funny, she does this crack-up on her own. It’s really awesome to see, ‘Oh wow, you’re learning what tickles you.’ It’s not influenced by anybody else, which is really a cool, new thing.”
The former ‘Up All Night’ star also admits that she is happy to be a working mother as she thinks it is healthy.
She said: “Once I get [to work], I get to be back in my skin again, and that’s always really good — for her too. I fill up in the outside world and then come home and bring her that strength.”
Christina, who underwent a double mastectomy in 2008, got engaged to her husband Martyn on Valentine’s Day 2010 and believes he helped her through her battle with breast cancer after she split from her first husband.
She previously said: “Without him, I don’t know if I could’ve gone through any of it. He came around at a time when there was a lot of loss in my life on many levels, so he’s been a really incredible help.”
