OHMYGOSSIP — Beyoncé has revealed she is inspired by her mother Tina Knowles’ compassion and gift of understanding.
Beyoncé is inspired by her mother. The 31-year-old singer admires Tina Knowles – who used to design Destiny’s Child’s stage costumes – for her compassion and ability to see the good in everyone, something Beyoncé herself strives to achieve.
Speaking in a new video for Chime For Change, Gucci’s global campaign for women’s empowerment, Beyoncé said: “My mother’s gift is finding the best qualities in every human being. I think her gift is understanding and helping people get to their best selves.”
The ‘Run The World (Girls)’ superstar joins actress Salma Hayek and Gucci’s creative director, Frida Giannini, as co-founders of the initiative, which will culminate in a televised concert, The Sound of Change Live, on June 1.
Beyoncé explained:”Our goal is to call for change for girls and women in the loudest voice possible.”
She added the event is an opportunity “to bring the issues of education, health and justice for girls and women to the world stage.”
Beyoncé will be joined by the likes of Ellie Goulding, Florence and the Machine and Rita Ora at The Sound of Change Live gig in London’s Twickenham Stadium.
Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z – who have 15-month-old daughter Blue Ivy together – celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in Havana, Cuba last week.
