Carrie Underwood feels guilty about career
OHMYGOSSIP — Country star Carrie Underwood admits she sometimes feels like a disappointment as a wife because her music keeps her away from her husband Mike Fisher.
Carrie Underwood sometimes feels like a bad wife. The 30-year-old singer is often so busy touring and recording she has to spend long periods of time away from her husband Mike Fisher and Carrie admits it does upset her.
She said: “Sometimes I feel I’m not able to be a good friend or a good family member or a good wife because they know I’m not there. Everybody else always has dates to things and Mike’s flying solo. I’ll come home and there’s no food in the refrigerator. It makes me feel so bad sometimes that I’m not there to take care of him.”
While ice hockey player Mike, 32, is supportive of her career, Carrie would be prepared to quit music if he asked her to.
Speaking to People magazine, she explained: “He knows performing is what I love and he completely supports me as I do him. But if Mike ever told me he needed me to quit, I’d quit. When you make that promise to somebody and you stand before God and your family and friends, you’ve got to do everything that you possibly can to make it work.”
