OHMYGOSSIP — Mercedes has unveiled online the commercial that will be aired during the Super Bowl. We would like to draw the attention not so much on the model of the moment, Kate Upton, but on the fact that, in a 1 minute, the company managed to summarise and debunk many clichés regarding the “women and cars” combo.
The video opens with the writing “Kate Upton washes the Mercedes-Benz CLA in slow-motion”, a sign that immediately brings to mind the clichéd script comprising foam, water, wet t-shirts and sexual innuendos. While, the final scene starring the Victoria’s Secret model who, confronted by a group of players gaping at her, tells them off because they have “missed a spot” and then leaves totally unconcerned is, in fact, quite funny.
