Pregnant Kate Middleton is dangerously thin
OHMYGOSSIP — Pregnant Kate Middleton is still suffering from acute morning sickness and could be getting dangerously underweight. The 31-year-old is expecting her first child with husband Prince William. She is still suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum — an extreme form of morning sickness characterized by chronic nausea and an inability to keep food down.
“Kate is still struggling, and still facing the pain of acute morning sickness,” a source said. “William is fretting over his wife’s condition — there’s a concern that she might be in danger of not going to full term. Doctors are trying to get her to follow a controlled emergency food program of 3,000 calories a day to build up her body.”
Kate and William had a lovely Christmas together, but on New Year’s Eve Prince William had to leave for the island of Anglesey, in Wales, to resume his RAF search-and-rescue duties. During a mission that night, Flight Lieutenant William’s helicopter was dangerously caught up in a storm over the Irish Sea — and the prince and his crew had to return before finding the victim.
“It’s that kind of daily peril facing her husband that reduces Kate to tears,” the source said.
“She wants him to quit the military — she’s terrified he might get killed! But William is torn between his traditional duty to ‘Queen and country’ and his devotion to his wife.”
Meanwhile, William and Kate are determined to make a break from the past when they welcome their first child.
“They want to raise the baby on their own terms,” a source said.
“William and Kate’s child will have a modern upbringing.”
William’s and Kate’s baby will be raised in Kensington Palace, surrounded by security and taught to bow or curtsy from the day they can walk.
“William is painfully aware of what it’s like to grow up with the burden of being the future monarch hanging over your head. Your whole life is mapped out for you. They want their child to have as normal a childhood as they can manage.”
