Kristen Stewart: Handprint ceremony was cool
Kristen Stewart admits having her handprints immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is the “coolest thing” she’s ever done. The 21-year-old actress was joined by her Twilight Saga costars Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson — who she is dating — outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Los Angeles yesterday for a ceremony honoring the vampire film series.
The trio were introduced by TV talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and Stephenie Meyer – who wrote all the Twilight Saga books — and were cheered by the hundreds of fans who had come along to catch a glimpse of their idols.
“Hollywood, I think this is the coolest thing I’ve ever done in my life. This is insane that I’m doing this,” Kristen said.
“There are a few moments that mean so much, it’s really even hard to explain, and this is definitely one of those,” Taylor said.
Robert, 25, was equally moved by the tribute.
“This is incredibly scary … This is such an incredible honour. How young we are, it’s kind of ridiculous and amazing at the same time,” he said.
Following their speeches, the three stars then signed their names into the wet cement plaque – which was emblazoned with the words The Twilight Saga — and then pressed their hands and feet in.
Playful Kristen tried to put her dirty hands on boyfriend Robert’s face, but he was able to avoid her mucky mitts.
Robert, Taylor and Kristen were all joined by their parents for the ceremony, and Robert’s mother Claire Pattinson took pictures throughout.
