Shakira’s ex Antonio De La Rua proposes to former Miss Colombia Daniela Ramos

Shakira’s ex-boyfriend, Antonio De La Rua, asked former Miss World Colombia Daniela Ramos to marry him in December. Although there were always rumors of a De La Rua and Shakira marriage, it never materialized after their eleven-year relationship together.

Commenting on their break-up, Shakira had said on her website that her and De La Rua “view this period of separation as temporary and as a time of individual growth as we continue to be partners in our business and professional lives.”
 
It seemed that the Argentine lawyer’s biological clock could not wait as he “grew,” and he just had to ask for his new girlfriend’s hand in marriage.
 
The Bogota beauty, however, felt that she wasn’t quite ready for the matrimonial incarceration, and asked him to wait until March 2012, so that they might be able to actually get to know each other before taking their final vows into blissful wedlock and be joined forever.
