Prince Harry visits pub near San Diego
Prince Harry has been living it large in California! The royal — who’s in the States for military training — reportedly visited a pub near San Diego.
“He said, ‘I’m glad to be here,’” says Ted Taylor, bar manager for McP’s Irish Pub and Grill in Coronado, Calif., about two hours away from the naval base in El Centro, where Harry is completing his Apache helicopter training.
“He sat outside at a picnic table and ate a burger and beer.”
“He was very personable. He was a nice guy, very low-key,” says Taylor.
“A couple of girls wanted to take pictures but they said no.”
According to Tweets, he also visited the Andaz Hotel in San Diego.
Prince Harry, who is known as Captain Wales in the Army Air Corps, “relaxed w/ some drinks while watching rugby,” according to the hotel’s Twitter.
“@AndazSD was graced w/ royalty last nite after a visit from Prince Harry! He enjoyed his 1st nite out at #IvyRooftop w/ 20 of his friends,” says another Tweet.
He will be spending about a month in El Centro, Calif., before heading to Gila Bend Air Force Auxiliary Field in southern Arizona.
