Elton John making film about his life
Elton John is to make a film about his flamboyant life. The Rocket Man singer — who was recently named the world’s top-paid male pop star and partner David Furnish will produce the flick through their Rocket Pictures firm.
They’ve hired playwright Lee Hall to write a script.
The film — Rocketman — will be produced by David alongside Steve Hamilton Shaw, while Elton will be the executive producer.
“Rocketman will be a radically different kind of biopic,” said Steve.
“It will be as unique as Elton’s life, told in a non-linear and hyper-visual manner that will transport people through the many intense experiences, some wonderful, some not, that helped define Elton as an artist, musician and man.”
A director or actor to play the rocker are yet to be found.
