X Factor star Chrissie Pitt tells how band mates turned on her
X factor star Chrissie Pitt has told how her bandmates viciously turned against her after she dropped them to go solo. She says they sent her a string of nasty texts, posted bitchy messages on Facebook, and even left her stranded at the auditions with no way to get home.
The disastrous performance of her band Twisted was roundly condemned by the judges on last night’s show, but Kelly Rowland followed her backstage to convince Chrissie Pitt, 26, to audition on her own. “This is your opportunity,” she told her. “Look at me. Don’t let anyone take this away from you.”
After bandmates, Cheryl Moody, 27, Katie Orrock, 22, and Paige Flaherty, 17, appeared to support her, Chrissie went back to sing on her own and sailed through to the next round. Cheryl had even told her: “We’re behind you 100 per cent.”
But Chrissie, from South Shields, Tyne and Wear, says the girls have now ditched her as a friend and “stabbed me in the back”. She said: “It was such a tough decision to go it alone, but the girls were so supportive I decided to go for it. But after I finished my audition I tried to find them and they had already gone home and left me stranded in Manchester.
