Anne Hathaway has performed a self-written anti-paparazzi rap song on TV. The One Day actress busted some Lil Wayne-inspired rhymes on TBS chat show Conan last night, which she revealed was penned in retaliation to “intense” photographers on the set of The Dark Knight Rises.
“With all the stuff that’s going on with Batman, the paparazzi attention’s been a little intense,” she told host Conan O’Brien. “So I actually wrote a rap song about it.
“It’s in the style of Lil Wayne. He recently wrote a love song…it’s really beautiful. And I thought, if he can play with expectations, maybe I can, too.”
Hathaway then turned to the studio audience and blasted out the 30-second slam, which included the lyrics: “I go pap pap pap / My camera’s up your crotch / I tell the truth from what I see / And sell it to Perez Hilt-ey.”
The 28-year-old appeared to be somewhat embarrassed after concluding the rap, putting her head in her hands and declaring: “Once again, my need to be a ham has just threatened my career.”
