J.K. Rowling was given 40-diamond bracelet as a thank you present from Warner Bros. The movie studio is so grateful the author allowed them to turn her Harry Potter book series into a film franchise they wanted to show their appreciation after the eighth and final installment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, was released last weekend.
Warner Bros. CEO Barry Meyer splashed out millions of dollars on the stunning piece of white gold jewellery and she was presented with it at the after-party for the London premiere earlier this month.
According to TMZ, Rowling was so nervous about wearing the bracelet before getting it insured she was accompanied to the bash by a mini-security team.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 -– which stars Daniel Radcliffe as the boy wizard and Rupert Grint and Emma Watson as his magic friends -– has already broken US box office records by taking $170 million on its opening weekend and has already banked $500 million around the globe.
