Jessica, Ashlee Simpson start Tween Clothing Line

The Simpson sisters are embarking on a new project together: a fashion line. Jessica Simpson is teaming up with little sis Ashlee to create a new clothing line aimed at tweens. According to WWD (via PEOPLE), the new line will be part of the Jessica Simpson Collection and will feature sportswear and activewear with a “girly, playful attitude,” something that will fit in perfectly with the tween set.

Both Jessica and Ashlee will serve as co-directors of the line.

“Creating a tween apparel collection was a natural extension for the brand,” Jessica told WWD. “I’m excited to bring my sister, Ashlee, along as co-creative director of this division, because she brings a savvy rocker edge that defines today’s tweens.”

Ashlee is equally excited to join her sister in the new venture.

“My goal as co-creative director will be to design clothes that will help inspire young girls to express their personalities and creativity through fashion,” Ashlee said.

The Simpsons’ tween clothing line will be available starting this fall.
