Ellen DeGeneres and Portia Di Rossi’s property was broken into last week
Ellen DeGeneres’ house broken into. An unnamed female was arrested last Thursday for trespassing on the grounds of the couple’s Beverly Hills mansion.
Thankfully, Ellen and Portia — who married at the luxurious home in August 2008 — didn’t come in to contact with the woman as their state-of-the-art security system sent warning signals straight to the Beverly Hills Police Department.
“The property is protected by a 24-hour security team that detected and detained the intruder until she was turned over to the custody of Beverly Hills police officers, who arrested her,” said Ellen’s rep.
“The intruder never entered the actual residence, and did not make any contact with either Ellen or Portia.
“Ellen and Portia appreciate the fast and effective response of BHPD officers.”
Since tying the knot in 2008, the couple have never been happier and Portia recently revealed how Ellen, 53, had “changed” her life.
“Ellen has completely changed the way I look at life. She has made me not worry about what other people think. I’m still working on that, I have to be honest,” she said.
“She has taught me that who I am is perfectly good enough… that I don’t have to pretend to be anything other than who I am, and that’s been the most incredible gift that she’s given me.”
