Amber Riley: Glee cast do not fight all the time
Amber Riley has shot down claims her Glee costars all hate each other. Riley, who plays feisty Mercedes Jones in the smash hit US TV show, told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper that despite spending all day, every day together the cast try their best not to fight.
“You know, we spend sometimes 14 hours a day with one another,” she said.
“We rehearse together, we sing together, we travel together, so we have to make an effort to get along with one another.”
Riley and her Glee costars Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz previously admitted that they sometimes fight, but insisted the tension doesn’t last long.
Meanwhile, Oscar winning actor Javier Bardem has signed up to appear on Glee.
The star — who worked with Glee creator Ryan Murphy on new movie Eat Pray Love — will join the show’s cast next season as a rock star who becomes friends with Kevin McHale’s Artie.
“We’re going to rock the house,” Bardem told Entertainment Weekly magazine.
“We’re going to do some heavy metal — Spanish heavy metal, which is the worst.”
