Jeremy McConnell to make TV comeback
OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy McConnell is set to make a reality TV comeback – but it’ll have to work around his probation.
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star – who was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis earlier this month – has been given the opportunity to rebuild his life after bosses from ‘Ex on the Beach’ approached him about taking part in the new series but, although the heavily-inked hunk is all for the small screen project, he needs to get permission from the Probation Services in Ireland.
A source told The Sun Online: “Jeremy really wants to get back to his day job and is pursuing several TV opportunities. He’s made some mistakes this year but having the chance to rebuild his career means everything to him. The only issue he has to work around is being on probation but MTV bosses are more than aware that he needs permission from the authorities to film.”
The Irish heartthrob was handed a 12-month suspended prison sentence a few weeks ago for attacking the former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress at her home in Liverpool at the beginning of March this year.
Jeremy – who has eight-month-old son Caben with Stephanie – has also been ordered to carry out 200 hours of community service and attend a Building Better Relationships course.
A three-year restraining order has also been put in place – meaning he’s banned from contacting the 24-year-old actress and her relatives and even entering the road she lives on.
News that Jeremy is toying with the idea of taking part in ‘Ex on the Beach’ probably won’t sit well with Stephanie as it’s believed their arguments earlier this year stemmed from that TV opportunity.
The pair met and fell in love in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house in January 2016 but their relationship has been rocked with rows, make ups and break ups over the past 20 months.
