Bon Jovi splits from manager

Bon Jovi have fired their manager. The group – consisting of Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, Tico Torres and David Bryan – have parted ways with their long-term colleague Jack Rovner, amid rumours he was responsible for a number of problems on their latest tour.

Recent reports suggested that Rovner’s involvement led to fans who had purchased VIP tickets – which cost $1,000 each – were refused a meet-and-greet with the band, as promised.

He was also said to be behind an “artist in residence” deal with TV station NBC, which stopped the band from promoting their most recent album ‘The Circle’ on rival US networks.

However, lead singer Jon Bon Jovi was quick to downplay the rumours, blaming creative differences for the split.

In an email to the New York Post’s Page Six gossip column, he wrote: “The boring truth is we decided to go in different directions and thanked both Jack and his team for a great job. He is and will remain a close friend and someone who I will be very grateful to for his dedication.”

A spokeswoman for Vector Management, where Rovner, works agreed saying: “Jack and everyone at Vector are very proud of the work they did together over the last five years, including their first Grammy Awards, first number one chart debuts globally, and even a number one on the country charts
