Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla to visit Cornwall

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall are set to visit the English county on Wednesday (19.07.17).
Prince Charles, 68, and his wife Camilla, 70, will visit popular locations such as Porthleven, Truro and Bodmin during their visit to the county of Cornwall this week, where they will meet with local food vendors and charitable organisations.
The royal couple will start their visit by heading to Porthleven, where they will meet and celebrate local food producers and businesses, who have managed to recover since the devastating floods of 2014 to become a top “foodie” destination.
They will then make their way to Truro, where they will visit independent grocery store Great Cornish Food, which sells local produce.
Also in Truro, Charles will visit The Cove Macmillan Support Centre to meet staff, patients and cancer specialists and hear more about the assistance The Cove offers. He will also visit a ‘Look Good Feel Better’ workshop, which aims to provide support for women and teenagers suffering with the visible side effects of cancer treatment.
Camilla, meanwhile, will be visiting disaster relief charity ShelterBox’s headquarters in Truro, where she will meet staff, supporters and school children making use of the charity’s new visitor centre, which provides a visual demonstration of how ShelterBox provides aid to people around the world.
The Duchess will then travel to Bodmin to visit Caterlink, a Cornish business specialising in ice cream cones, toppings, decorations and accessories, where she will meet staff, tour the factory and visit the tasting parlour.
The visit to Cornwall comes just after Prince Charles – who is also known as the Prince of Wales – wrapped up his annual summer tour of Wales.
Charles spends a week at his Welsh home of Llwynywermod every year and often visits the surrounding areas. This year, the prince took in eight Welsh counties, where hosted a musical evening, visited yoghurt companies, opened a biomass plant and attended a farming conference, among many other engagements.
