Marvin Humes believes JLS will make a comeback in the future
OHMYGOSSIP — Marvin Humes believes JLS will make a comeback in the future.
The 32-year-old singer, who is known for being in the boyband alongside Oritsé Williams, JB Gill and Ashton Merrygold, has revealed there are no solid plans for the ‘Everybody In Love’ hitmaker’s to reunite, but he is “sure” they will re-group and perform as a band again “at some point”.
When quizzed about a reunion by radio show host Roman Kemp on his show on Capital FM, the dark-haired hunk – who has daughters Alaia-Mai, three, and four-week-old Valentina with his wife Rochelle Humes – said: “Mate I don’t know. I honestly can’t give you a date. I don’t know.
“We’ll see, we’ll see, we’ll see. I can’t give you anymore than that mate. I’d love to but I can’t.
“We’re still good mates and if you asked me if me and the boys would perform on stage again I’m sure at some point that will happen.”
The group – who were runners up on ‘The X Factor’ in 2008 – split in 2013, and Marvin has admitted the decision for him and his fellow band members to go their separate ways was an “emotional” one because they achieved their dream together.
He explained: “It’s an emotional decision.
“We’ve been through so much since we first came together and no one would have dreamed what we achieved could be possible, and of course for it to all end was a massively emotional decision, and it wasn’t one that was taken lightly.”
But JLS were adamant they would end whilst they were on a high, rather than when their fans were fed up of hearing them sing.
Marvin said: “We’ve had an incredible career for five years and we want to see it as a celebration that we’ve achieved so much. We wanted to go out on top and not be that act where people are like, ‘Oh bloody hell, it’s JLS again’.”
Although JLS are no longer making music, they all keep in touch and have an “indescribable” bond.
Marvin said: “We’re best friends, we’re brothers, the bond between us is indescribable.”
