Bella Hadid was 'afraid' of wearing mascara on her bottom lashes
OHMYGOSSIP — Bella Hadid used to be “afraid” of wearing mascara on her bottom lashes.
The 20-year-old model has admitted she has always had a fear of using the cosmetic product, but the catwalk icon has since changed her ways and applies mascara on every lash because she believes it makes her look “more awake”.
Speaking about her beauty fears and tips to The Sunday Times Style magazine, the brunette beauty said: “I used to be afraid of putting mascara on my bottom lashes, but now I think it makes me look more awake.”
And Bella has revealed Dior’s make-up creative and image director and beauty expert, Peter Philips, taught her the best way to apply the product, which sees her “wiggle” the black liquid from the root of the hair to the very top, in a bid to give the appearance of longer eye lashes and the “illusion” she has applied a sleek of eye liner to her lids as well.
She explained: “Peter [Philips] taught me to wiggle the wand through the roots to create the illusion of liner and to make lashes look longer.”
And the fashion muse – who was announced as the face of the beauty brand Dior in May last year – has revealed she always carries around Dior make-up with her, especially the Diorskin Star Concealer, and the Dior Addict Lip Glow, which she has worn since she was a teenager.
She explained: “I use it [Diorskin Star Concealer] every day – it’s even in my purse now. I apply it with a beauty blender around my eyes and nose, but only where needed, as I like my freckles and skin to show through. I get very blue around my eyes when I travel, but this covers up the circles.
“[Dior Addict Lip Glow] It has been an absolute favourite of mine since I was a teen, and it’s always with me, wherever I go.”
