The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will watch the Six Nations during trip to Paris
OHMYGOSSIP — The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will watch a rugby match during their “official two-day visit” to Paris next month.
The 34-year-old royal and his 35-year-old wife Catherine have been requested by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to visit the French capital on March 17 and 18, which will see the pair watch one of the Six Nations matches against Wales and France at the Stade de France during their stay.
According to the Royal Family’s website the couple will enjoy a reception for young French leaders, a luxurious dinner as well as the sporting event.
However, full details of their trip still remains under wraps.
The statement on Royal.uk reads: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will undertake an official two-day visit to Paris on 17th and 18th March.
“Their Royal Highness’ visit is at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Full details of the visit will be announced in due course, but the itinerary will include a reception for young French leaders from a variety of fields, a formal dinner at the residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador and attendance at the Wales v France Six Nations test at the Stade de France.”
And Kensington Palace social media account have also broadcasted the news of their pending trip.
They tweeted: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will undertake an official two-day visit to Paris on 17th and 18th March (sic)” alongside an emoji of the Union Jack and the French flag.
William and Catherine – who have three-year-old son Prince George and 21-month-old daughter Princess Charlotte together – have a busy month ahead as William is scheduled to launch Skill Force UK’s new award programme, which is named after him as the patron of the organisation, and present a speech at the event.
Kensington Palace posted a string of tweets detailing next month’s agenda. They wrote: “On the 1st March, The Duke of Cambridge, Patron of @SkillForceUK, will launch the charity’s new award programme, The Prince William Award.
“HRH will visit a school in Wales & meet children who trialled the programme, which aims to develop good character, confidence & resilience
“The Duke will give a speech to mark the official launch of the award, and congratulate children already participating in the programme. (sic).”
