Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's mother tells her not to 'hide' behind make-up
OHMYGOSSIP — Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s mother has advised her never to “hide” behind make-up.
The 29-year-old model has admitted she regularly goes to her parent, Fiona, for beauty advice, and is often told to use cosmetic products to “enhance” her assets rather than to let her beauty look overpower and to look like she is being “worn” by the make-up.
She said: “My mum always told me that make-up should enhance it shouldn’t hide. Make-up is there to enhance what you have naturally and your favourite asset, whether that is your lips, or your eyes, whatever it is you should really enhance it rather than hiding it.
“My make-up look on a whole is pretty classic and pretty natural. I always like to feel like myself. I don’t feel any trends. I want to feel the best I can feel, and I am very lucky I get to work with all the pros and the incredible make-up artists every day. It takes a village, but for me, it’s always about feeling natural and feeling polished and easy. I always like to feel like myself, and I never like to feel like I’m being worn by a look.”
And the ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ star – who is engaged to 49-year-old actor Jason Statham – has revealed her minimalist look means she will never leave the house without two essential lip products.
She said: “I can’t leave the house without because they really go hand in hand is a great lip balm and a lip liner.”
The style icon has admitted she has to be “diligent” with her daily beauty routine, which sees her wash “cleanse, tone and moisturise” her face “every morning” after she guzzles a large amount of water to “get everything moving”.
Speaking about her morning rituals on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, the golden-haired beauty said: “Every morning I wake up and one of the first things I do is to drink as much water as I can. It just gets everything moving and obviously you’re a bit dehydrated when you wake up in the morning.
“I’m diligent with my skin care every day, so I’ll wash my face, cleanse, tone and moisturise every morning. It really depends what I’ve got going on, if I’m going to work I’ll pop in the shower and go to work with wet hair. If I’m going out then I’ll go through my hair routine.”
