OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Connelly felt “privileged” to work with Louis Vuitton.
The 45-year-old actress – who embarked on a modelling career at the age of 10 years old – starred in the fashion houses Autumn/Winter 2015 campaign, and has admitted it has been a “pleasure” working with the brand in “whatever small way”.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper about the French luxury company, the brunette beauty said: “Working with Louis Vuitton is a complete privilege and a pleasure. In whatever small way, I’m part of it.”
Jennifer has admitted her mother, Ilene, put her forward for a career in the fashion industry at a young age, and it “wasn’t” her idea.
She explained: “My mum initially put me into modelling when I was 10. I grew up doing something that was presentational about image. That wasn’t my idea.”
And the ‘Blood Diamond’ star – who landed her first film role in 1985 in ‘Phenomena’ – has revealed acting and modelling are “completely different” to one another.
Speaking about the two industries, she said: “It’s a completely different thing.”
Meanwhile Jennifer has joked her “stern” eyebrows leave people thinking she is “a little bit cross”.
Speaking previously about her bold facial features, she said: “I think it’s my eyebrows. I look stern even when I’m not stern.
“If I’m not feeling cross, I look a little bit cross. I can’t help it. It’s just my face.”
Meanwhile, Jennifer – who has been married to Paul Bettany since 2003 – has hinted she will never go under the knife because she doesn’t want to “erase my history” on her face.
She said: “We equate beauty for women with youth, and that’s sad. It’s a shame it’s so hard for so many of us to appreciate the beauty of an older woman and to accept it in ourselves. I don’t want to erase my history on my face.”
