Tinie Tempah dressed up as Batman for Capital FM's Monster Mashup
OHMYGOSSIP — Tinie Tempah dressed up as Batman for Capital FM’s Monster Mashup event in London on Friday (28.10.16) night.
The 27-year-old rapper was clearly keen to get into the spirit of Halloween during his energetic set at the Hammersmith Apollo tonight as he bounced onto the stage in a black jumpsuit, a plastic cape and a spooky mask ahead of his performance.
Despite his uncanny resemblance to the fictional superhero, the hunk – whose real name is Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu – urged his fans not be scared of his temporary appearance.
As he paraded around the stage, he said: “Don’t be startled, it is actually me. I’m not trying to have a day off.”
Tinie kicked off his set with his hits ‘Earthquake’ and ‘Pass out’ before he treated fans to his new single ‘Light Work’.
However, keen to show off his skills, he interrupted the performance mid-way through to sing Jess Glynne’s ‘Not Letting Go’ followed by his track with Wiz Khalifa ‘Mamacita’.
Although he’d already packed his set full of surprises, Tinie couldn’t resist bringing out a special guest for ‘Girls Like’.
Zara Larsson – who already performed her own 10 minute set earlier on in the evening – emerged from the wings as they belted out the lyrics to their catchy summer anthem.
Tinie drew his performance to a close with fan favourites ‘Drinking From the Bottle’, ‘Miami to Ibiza’, ‘Turn The Music Louder (Rumble)’, before wrapping up with ‘Tsunami’.
The rapper wasn’t the only act to get the audience going tonight as Clean Bandit had fans jumping up in the air during their performance of ‘Stronger’, ‘Real Love’, ‘Rather Be’ and their new song ‘Rockabye’ featuring Anne Marie and Sean Paul.
They too had a special guest tucked up their sleeves and invited ‘X Factor’ winner Louisa Johnson to perform ‘Tears’, followed by her newly-released debut single ‘So Good’.
She said: “This song is my favourite ever single it’s called ‘So Good’ and it’s out today. It’s really exciting to me.”
Meanwhile, Tinie wasn’t the only performer to slip into a costume for the Halloween-inspired event, as Blonde dropped jaws when they took to the stage dressed as ‘Star Trek’.
The duo’s 30-minute set included ‘You’ve Got To Show Me Love’, ‘Uptown Funk’ and ‘Nothing Like This’.
Other acts to take to the stage included Culture Code and Sigala.
