OHMYGOSSIP — FKA Twigs has revealed the mystery behind her public casting call.
The 28-year-old singer has now announced she is the curator of Halloween experience the ‘Veuve Clicquot Widow Series’.
The ‘Mothercreep’ hitmaker is to host the second annual celebration of creative and cultural prowess and has put together a project called ‘Rooms.’
The award-winning singer, songwriter, producer, director and dancer has invited fans on a spiritual exploration, experiencing fear and enlightenment through multiple mediums.
‘The Veuve Clicquot Widow Series’ pays homage to the revolutionary founder of the house, Madame Clicquot, who was famously widowed in October 1805.
She single-handedly took on her late husband’s champagne business, and went on to pioneer several industry innovations.
The annual event is also a nod to freedom of expression around Halloween to celebrate the arts and creative community worldwide, this year marking 150 years since Madame Clicquot’s death.
This year FKA twigs ‘Rooms’ will launch with a private viewing and VIP party on Wednesday October 26, and on October 27 and October 28 the immersive experience will open for the public.
Of the partnership Twigs said: “There aren’t always opportunities to make your wildest creative ideas a reality, ‘Rooms’ is one of my most ambitious projects to date so I’m very excited to be bringing it to life for the Veuve Clicquot Widow Series.”
It comes after Twigs took to social media last month to launch a mysterious new venture and made a call for performers stating that “no talent or style is too extreme”.
Twigs posted on Facebook: “i’m looking for performers of all genres to audition for a project i’m making in london this october. no talent or style is too extreme.
“all performers must be based or be able to work in the uk. please email a recent cv, headshot and reel link to FKAtwigsaudition@gmail.com. looking forward to hearing from you! (sic)”
