Cristiano Ronaldo splattered with paint for CR7 campaign
OHMYGOSSIP — Cristiano Ronaldo let loose with vibrant colours of paint as he shot the campaign for his new spring/summer 2016 CR7 underwear campaign.
The 31-year-old soccer star stripped down to this tighty whities as vibrant colours were splashed across his bulging biceps and tight abs for the launch of his fifth range.
He said of the shoot: “The campaign was inspired by the way we design the collection. The trunk is my favourite style.
“Each season we start with a plain white trunk as a blank canvas and then add the colour and design elements from there, as I feel like a splash of colour is really important to create a bold and stylish look.
“I wanted to bring this process to life with the campaign, so we used my body as the blank canvas! It was a lot of fun and a totally new experience for me.”
The handsome Real Madrid player – who is deemed as one of the best players in the world – believes his sporting career was the inspiration behind his vibrant campaign.
He explained: “Seeing a full stadium from the pitch is unique, with all the colours of the world surrounding you, it’s so vivid, bright and powerful. I wanted to reflect that feeling in this collection and create brightly coloured, vibrant pieces.”
And, although he ended up with paint in his hair and across his face, he found the campaign “really fun” to shoot, despite being riddled with nerves at first.
He said: “It was really fun and it was good to be taken out of my comfort zone. I do a lot of shoots but this really was something that I’ve never done before and I didn’t know what to expect!
“At first I was nervous but after five minutes I felt completely at home – it’s not every day that you have people throwing coloured pigments over you.”
