Cressida Bonas to make TV acting debut

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry’s ex Cressida Bonas will make her TV acting debut in Julian Fellowes’ adaptation of ‘Doctor Thorne’.

The 26-year-old actress is set to star in ‘Doctor Thorne’ as Patience Oriel and will be working with ‘Downton Abbey’ creator Julian Fellowes, who is adapting the novel into a series.

ITV’s Director of Drama Steve November said of the project: “We’re delighted to be working with Julian once again on the drama ‘Doctor Thorne’.”

“It’s a rich and multi-layered story of class and social standing and a timeless love story which Julian has brought to life brilliantly with his inimitable wit and warmth.”

Cressida was spotted on set over the weekend.

The blonde beauty dated Prince Harry for two years before splitting in 2014 but there were reports last month that they had rekindled their romance.

However, she has reportedly told Harry she is not ready to get married and wants to focus on her career right now.

A source previously told Grazia: “Cressida has her acting career to think of, so dating a prince can be a double-edged sword. She’s told him that if they get back together officially, there will be no talk of marriage.

“But Cressida hasn’t managed to get Harry out of her system. She’s missed him and now they are apparently involved again.

“There are still feelings on both sides and Cressida can’t seem to get over him.”
