Keira Knightley: I’m so not musical in any way
OHMYGOSSIP — Keira Knightley has revealed she never listens to music and was keen to portray a singer/songwriter in her latest movie ‘Begin Again’ to get more in tune.
The 29-year-old actress portrays singer/songwriter Gretta in her latest movie ‘Begin Again’, but insists she isn’t interested in songs at all and was keen to play the character to get more in tune with music.
She said: “I’m so not musical in any way. I don’t really listen to it, I don’t really remember it and part of the reason that I wanted to do this film was to try and get into that mindset.”
Despite her lack of interest in music, Keira is married to Klaxons vocalist James Righton and previously revealed he nearly murdered her with a guitar when he tried to teach her to play the instrument ahead of her ‘Begin Again’ role.
Speaking to Loaded magazine, she joked: “He failed. It was a potential murder, on both sides, actually. It could have been the first murder with a guitar.
“I wonder if there’s been a murder with a guitar? He did give me some tips as I did actually learn how to play all the songs on it but I couldn’t play them and sing at the same time.
“But James has absolutely no sympathy at all about my failure to learn them properly.”
