Katie Price’s best friend Jane Pountney admits affair with Kieran Hayler

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Price’s best friend Jane Pountney has admitted to having an affair with the model’s husband Kieran Hayler. Earlier this week, Price announced plans to divorce Hayler after learning of an alleged seven-month affair with Pountney.

Jane Pountney and her husband Derrick have since reportedly handed a statement to the press outside their Sussex home (May 9).

“It is true that Jane and Kieran Hayler had an affair,” the statement read. “This is something that Jane deeply regrets and we will not provide any more details about it. It is true that Kate found out about this affair on Wednesday 7 May 2014.”

The statement contradicts Derrick Pountney’s previous comments about the affair being blown out of proportion.

It continued: “Current reports regarding this being ‘a storm in a teacup’ and the affair being a ‘drunken kiss’ do not accurately reflect the situation. Those remarks should not be used to undermine Kate’s account which we accept is accurate.”

The letter also stated that the couple are discussing their future together, and have asked the press to stop harassing them, as they do not consider themselves public figures.

Price married Hayler, a plasterer and part-time stripper, in the Caribbean in January 2013, just one month after they were reported to have begun dating.

The couple became parents to son Jett Riviera in August. Price is currently pregnant with their second child.
