Michael Douglas left limping after son’s bar mitzva
OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Douglas suffered an injury at his son Dylan’s bar mitzvah! The actor — who’s married to Catherine Zeta-Jones — turned up to a launch party for Jerry Bruckheimer’s book, When Lightning Strikes, at Monkey Bar on Wednesday with a limp and was seen sitting most of the evening, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
“I’m hurting,” he said. “I don’t know whether it’s my groin or a hernia. I got carried away at my son’s bar mitzvah this weekend. You know they put you up in the chairs over the top — I think something happened there.”
Douglas made light of his pain during a speech, joking he got hurt from carrying two copies of Bruckheimer’s heavy tome that publicist Peggy Siegal gave him.
“They’re eight pounds each,” he said.
Douglas said he was going to the doctor Thursday.
