Cheryl Cole has lent her support to the X Factor hopefuls
OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl Cole has lent her support to the X Factor hopefuls in her home town ahead of the audition tour for the TV talent show arriving in the north-east of England.
Members of the X Factor production team – though not the judges yet – will be auditioning singers from the Newcastle area from 9am today at Gateshead’s Sage Centre and Chezza made sure her fellow Geordies knew that she is rooting for them.
She tweeted on Tuesday: “To all the Geordies auditioning for the first leg of @TheXFactor in Newcastle tomorrow it’s a yes from me.”
The Geordie singer then appended her post with the hashtags “#ilikethewayyoutalk” and “#goodluck”.
Cole is one of only two names definitely confirmed so far for the panel on The X Factor 2014, with show boss Simon Cowell also returning for this year’s competition.
And having been the triumphant mentor in two out of the three years when she was previously a judge – with Alexandra Burke in 2008 and then Joe McElderry in 2009 – she will no doubt be keen to get back to winning ways.
The Gateshead auditions come three days after the team were at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium.
Over 500 acts turned up at the home of Scottish rugby to attempt to impress with their talent and book themselves a place on the show later in the year.
